Hi, you recently moved a few pages probably to correct their spelling/orthography. The pages you moved were imported from a published source (Shabdasagar) as indicated by the subheadings (प्रकाशितकोशों से अर्थ [Meaning from published sources], शब्दसागर [Shabdasagar]) and we generally don't alter/edit them. I have reverted those edits. Feel free to add new entries with correct orthographies or edit above the "published sources" subheadings in pages. Gotitbro (वार्ता) १०:१८, १४ अप्रैल २०२० (UTC)

What I am saying is, we shouldn't edit below "प्रकाशितकोशों से अर्थ" since that fudges the imported published sourced. Can you create the en:Template:nuqtaless form of here on hiwki, I am not much familiar with templates; I'll translate it after you've created it here. That will help readers with the correct spelling and guide them to the nuqta page (if it exists), the template can be added above the "प्रकाशितकोशों से अर्थ" subheading. सदस्य:Gotitbro: Hi. There is no easy way to copy templates and modules from the English Wiktionary. If you open it in the edit mode you can see how many other templates and modules it's relying on and I'm not so good at it either. The en:Template:nuqtaless form of template is good but it needs some improvements. It should categorise Hindi entries as something like Category:Hindi nuqtaless forms. The creator of the template has been inactive for some time.
It's strange that you don't generally edit the entries, the correct dictionary spelling could be at least displayed at the entry header, which is actually missing here but there's a wall of text defining the term. If you poke around English Wiktionary, you'll see that each each entry has a part of speech header followed by a boldface header. Arabic entries, like en:مشمش has مِشْمِش displayed, even if the entry itself doesn't have diacritics. Russian entries, like en:абрикос#Russian has an accented from абрико́с, en:самолёт#Russian displayed as самолёт. Note the Russian "nuqtaless" (common) spelling is en:самолет#Russian (самолет without the dots over "е"), which is a soft redirect entry. At खुबानी, it can be a line on its own with खुबानी or even better ख़ूबानी, followed by an empty line and followed by a referenced definition.
Please let me know if you need assistance because some people at English Wiktionary might be able to improve the Hindi Wiktionary handling. You probably want automated IPA, inflections, etc.
Please take a look at en:ख़ूबानी#Hindi and en:खुबानी#Hindi --Anatoli (वार्ता) ०१:४८, १५ अप्रैल २०२० (UTC)
I see, but I proposed the nuqtaless template solution as the bulk of entries on the Hindi Wiktionary are imported and moving them around to different orthographies requires manual handling and creates discrepancies between titles and their defs. Not to mention that nuqatless spellings are valid and more common than their counterparts. I still feel that a "nuqatless template" would be more appropriate than messing with the already present entries, so if that can be made here it would be great. And you're right about "IPA, inflections" et all, please involve people wanting to help here. I was thinking that we should probably import all the enwikt Hindi entries here to hiwikt, these entries can be placed between "= हिन्दी =" and "== प्रकाशितकोशों से अर्थ ==" in entries. This will help us twofold, create entries with correct spellings, inflection temps, IPA etc. which don't have a page here; and add these enwikt entries to already existing ones including the nuqtaless template entries which would then guide users to the correct imported enwikt entry from the published imported one without messing around with the defs themselves. Let me know what you think and the users who help with this. Thanks. Gotitbro (वार्ता) ०५:४१, १५ अप्रैल २०२० (UTC)
सदस्य:Gotitbro: I think first, you need to define the entry format. I have just edited खुबानी again (pls check) to include the noun, gender, category and the display form. You might want a section ==Declension== and a template for missing inflections. I can recommend talking to en:User:AryamanA and en:User:Octahedron80. AryamanA is a Hindi speaking contributor and Octahedron80 has successfully ported complex modules to Thai Wiktionary. --Anatoli (वार्ता) ००:४८, २२ अप्रैल २०२० (UTC)
