:{{ping|Dcljr}} From what I know this Hindi Wiktionary imports definitions from {{w|Shabdasgar}} (much like the [[:sa:|Sanskrit Wiktionary]], which does it from multiple sources). The imported/Shabdasagar definitions are kept in a separate section so as to not mix them up with the user added entries. They are put under the Shabdasagar sub-heading on a page and categories are added for that. "Wikifying" these entries would make them amenable to edits which are better put to use in the non-published user added entries. OK, but since ''everything'' in this wiki is "amenable to edits", trying to prevent changes merely by smooshing a bunch of text together in one paragraph is, I think, bound to fail as a long-term strategy. I would recommend using one or more templates to format the text in a special way (e.g., as a [[w:en:blockquote|blockquote]]), including a citation of the source and a link to a relevant Wikipedia article (preferably, in Hindi — BTW, the link to {{w|Shabdasgar}} leads nowehere, as do [[w:Shabdasgar]] and [[w:शब्दसागर]]). :::{{ping|Dcljr}} Honestly, I am not much familiar with wiki markup and I do not know how these definitions were imported here. Though as a reader I found them pretty useful (especially when you are jumping between different Wiktionaries, e.g. English<->Hindi) and was trying to prevent unintended edits here. Your suggestions do sound very apt though, maybe one of the admins can take up the things you mentioned above.
